Here’s how time blocking can help you create a strong work-life balance.
Do you ever feel like you just can’t hold a charge? Today I’m here to help you prioritize the most important things on your schedule to avoid burnout and ensure that you have a fully charged battery at all times.
One of the most useful tools any person can utilize to get organized is time blocking. It sounds simple, but it’s not easy. However, you can break it down in a very simple way to prioritize the things that are most important to you.
“Schedule the things that are most important to you first.”
The three most important things to me are family, fun, and faith. If those are the same for you, I can’t stress enough how important it is to put those activities on your calendar first. Start by looking toward next week and find out what’s important to you. Schedule that time on your calendar for next week and the week afterward. These could include things like date night, your child’s soccer game, or attending a bible study.
After you have those things scheduled, you can then schedule your entire business around them. If you keep getting into the practice of doing this, in about a month, your schedule is going to reflect your values and priorities, and you won’t be letting your business dictate your life. If you want to avoid burnout and have a great work-life balance, you have to prioritize the things that are most important to you.
