Learn how reflecting on what’s never enough can bring clarity to your life.

What is enough? This is a question many of us ponder throughout our lives. How do we define “enough”? Is it enough money, enough time spent at work, or perhaps enough things? To be honest, I’ve come to realize that figuring out what truly constitutes “enough” requires some deep reflection. Most people find themselves writing lists or contemplating their priorities, searching for that clarity.

For me, I’ve discovered that there are certain things in life that I will never have enough of. For instance, I’ll never have enough date nights with my wife. I’ll never have enough playdates with my niece. I’ll never have enough days spent surfing or enough moments riding my bike.

“When we build a closer relationship with these irreplaceable things, it often brings us clarity. ”

What are the things in your life that hold the greatest value to you? Those are the moments, the experiences, or the people you can never have enough of. No matter how much time we have, no matter how many years we’re given, some things will always feel insufficient.

And here’s the truth: When we build a closer relationship with these irreplaceable things, it often brings us clarity. This clarity helps us better understand what really matters, and what truly is “enough.”
