If you’re in real estate, you’d probably agree that the first half of 2026 has been really difficult. Whether that’s pricing a property, working with a difficult buyer or seller, or just trying to keep up with everything that’s coming at you, it’s been a challenging year.
The good news is the second half hasn’t been written yet. Here are three ways to amplify your business for the rest of 2026.
Cut the crap
One of the phrases we can’t stand in real estate is when people say, “Are you drinking from the fire hose?” And it gets used as a joke, but there’s nothing funny about it. The amount of information that comes at us constantly as real estate professionals is overwhelming. Videos, seminars, Zoom calls, podcasts, social media, whether you’re on the buyer side, seller side, or talent attraction side, it just never stops.
Here’s what we do and what we encourage every agent on our team to do. Whatever video you’re watching, whatever seminar you’re at, whatever call you’re on, focus on grabbing just one thing. The single most valuable piece of information in that session. That’s it. One.
Why? Because it raises the probability of you actually doing it. What most agents do is take in all the information, get overwhelmed, and then lower their chances of actually implementing anything. They leave a conference with pages of notes and execute on none of them.
So here’s the challenge: when you finish watching this video, take one thing from it and do it today. Not three things. One.
Time block or lose
In this age of constant distraction, the agents who win are the ones who control their time. Don’t be a doomscroller. We’re telling you right now, if you’re not time blocking your mornings, you’re leaving production on the table.
Most of your deep work gets done in the morning. Between 9 a.m. and noon is where the magic happens. Here’s the technique we use and recommend: the Pomodoro method.
Set a timer for 25 minutes. Push yourself through 25 minutes of focused work. No email. No phone. No scrolling. When the timer goes off, set it for 5 minutes. Get up. Stretch. Do some push-ups. Walk around the office. Take a real mental break. Then come back, set another 25-minute timer, and do it again.
At the end of one hour, you’ve done 50 minutes of actual focused work. That’s more deep work than most agents do in an entire day. Repeat that through the morning, and you’ll be shocked at what you accomplish by lunch.
Most agents can be productive in those first three hours if they protect them. The ones who don’t protect that time end up reacting to everyone else’s priorities instead of executing on their own.
Suck it up and lead generate
This is the most important point. And it’s the one most agents are avoiding.
If you don’t have leads, you don’t have a business. No matter what aspect of real estate you’re in, you are in the lead generation business. That’s it. That’s what you do. Everything else is downstream of that one activity.
Even if you have leads coming in, even if you’re following up, setting appointments, meeting with clients, and getting deals done, you still need to find time to lead generate. The moment you stop, you’re building a gap in your pipeline that you won’t feel until months later. And by then, it’s too late to fix it quickly.
What does lead generation look like right now? Tap your sphere. Set touch-point reminders for people already in your database. Find creative ways to meet new people. We know agents who have referral partners at a gym, who are part of a club, who find ways to start conversations everywhere they go. Whatever works for you, the point is to do it consistently. Not when the pipeline is empty. Every day. That’s the difference.
The second half starts now
The first half of 2026 was tough. The second half is yours if you want it. Cut the noise and focus on one thing at a time. Block your mornings and protect that time like it’s a listing appointment. And stop avoiding the calls that fill your pipeline.
If you want help building a plan for the second half of the year, we’d love to have that conversation with agents across New Hampshire, from Concord to the Seacoast.
